So after a year of economic turmoil, after raising taxes, cutting wages and benefits across the public sector as well as dragging the country to an unimaginable economic decline, our dear government has come to the following brilliant dilemma:
They will either raise the VAT rates from 11% to 23% in everyday goods like dairy products and vegetables, or double the taxes on Oil that is used for heating purposes. Wonderful ideas! They must be economic geniuses.
And from what i read and hear they lean towards the second options. In other words, between starving and freezing to death out government has chosen for us the later scenario, most probably because they believe that we can cut back on our everyday expenses (thus collecting less VAT) but not restrict heating.
Freeze to death or famine. Just hope that the coming winter will be short and warm.
And still, the majority of my fellow countrymen will vote for the same guys that brought us to this mess. Splendid!!
And to paraphrase the film “V for Vendeta”…
Remember remember the 6th of December!!
