Flash Script Tests

Fooling around with ActionScript 2.0 the other day. Its the same code, but with only a few tweaks to the “constants” you can get a totally different effect. The base idea was this spire:

but then i changed a few variables and got these interesting variations:

Countdown (AS 2.0)

An extension of the Timer application. This one though is not so simple. It counts down from the specified amount of seconds. It can pause and resume and it also plays a sound on every tic. Even though the code is a bit old, it is still a good example of modular programming (if i remember correctly) :)

and here is the source file if you want to mess with it or try to understand some messy code :P

Timer (AS 2.0)

A simple timer. Not sure where you would want to use that… :P

[flash http://blog.locus-delicti.com/wp-content/uploads/misc_flash/timer.swf w=300 h=300]

here is the source code

This is an image slide show made completely in ActionScript 2.0. It reads the data from an XML and then loads the images. Pretty straightforward. No pre-loading etc implemented, even though i would like to extend it when i get some more free time

You can also download the “.fla” with the source code here
